Chapter One: Two Worlds, one Life

We all know the story of Eragon Shadeslayer; we know that he was once a farm boy that found a dragon egg close to his home of Carvahall in the woods known as The Spine. After finding the blue egg his life changed forever. Learning that he's the last known free rider he sought the killers of his Uncle with the help of Carvahall own storyteller Brom. Many weeks past without any words of where the killer had gone, until one day Eragon Brom, and Saphira were capture by the killers known as the Razac. With the help of a young man known as Murtagh later learns to be the son of one of the Dragon Riders that sided with Galbatorix. After fighting Galbatorix men at the base of the Varden Eragon leaves with Arya, and a dwarf name Orik to the Elf city of Ellesmera. Eragon also learns that he in fact; (not counting Galbatorix) is not the only rider, that in fact his teacher is a Dragon Rider named Oromis. Weeks of training soon follows the young rider, even after being changed by the Blood-Oath Celebration Eragon must still learn how to use his new powers and strengths. But when Eragon learns that the Varden would be fighting the king men he leaves with Saphira back to his Lord to fight and hope to save the many lives that could have been lost. But Galbatorix had something they didn't know; a new rider. Eragon and the rider fought in the middle of the sky then to the ground, where Eragon soon finds out that it was his friend Murtagh.

Murtagh tell Eragon that his father was also Eragon and that they were really brothers, Eragon is shocked when he learns this and Murtagh leaves, only to swear that he would not be so easy on his younger brother next time; taking Zar'roc with him. Eragon then help his cousin Roran to save his soon to be wife from the Razac that escaped those so many times before. After saving her, and killing both of his foes, Eragon tries to find his way back to Saphira; but run into Arya on the way, and the two find their way back. Days past as Eragon and Saphira must then return to their masters to learn how the king have been gaining so much power over the years and to get himself a sword. Once Eragon had gain the knowledge he needed and his new sword Brisingr a sword that ever time he says its name would burst into a blue flame. Once he returns to the Varden again he fought with his cousin to take over a small city so they could be one step closer to take over the king land. But in the heat of battle Eragon half brother, (later finding out that Brom was really his father) killed his masters. Now Eragon is the last Rider fighting for peace and once the new Rider is shown, the master of that rider. But this story doesn't take place in Alagaesia at first; it takes place a thousand years in the future.

A young boy the age of sixteen had just finished reading his favorite novel yet again yet there was only three so far he loved the stories of Eragon the Shadeslayer and all of his adventures. He brought the book down on his bed as he stood up and yawned, he stood about five foot ten with green eyes. He had brown spiky hair with yellow edges that he put in himself. He took out he white pants and white shirt and slipped them on, while also butting on his blue over shirt.

"I don't know why I always read this story," he told himself putting the third book back on his self, "But it's just feels so real, like it already happened!" he shook his head while laughing, "Yeah, Dragon Riders ever really being real! Though it would be cool with they were once Riders or still are!" the boy laughed to himself once again as he made his way out of his room, making his way to his front door.

"Hey Brandon!" he turned to the living room to she his mother sitting in front of their TV watching some sort of show he had never seen before.

"Hey mom, I'm just going out for a bit." She nodded at him,

"Just be back by nine!" Brandon smiled at her and ran outside. Anytime he read the stories of Eragon, he would always run outside and imagine himself in his shoes. What he would do if he found his uncle dead, what he would do save the Varden, or help Galbatorix rebuild the Riders. At times he would even write stories of his thoughts, but he never did tell anyone these stories; they were like his ship to the next world. He looked up in the sky, thinking what he do if he saw the blue dragon fly over head at that moment. He didn't look where he was going until he crashed into someone. Falling backward, he landed with a grunt. Looking up he saw a young woman with long black hair; which covered the side of her face. Brandon got a small glimpse of her face, she was beautiful. Her skin was somewhat pale with green eyes.

"I'm sorry!" said Brandon standing up, finding that a bandana was tried around his wrist. Uniting it he held it out as the unknown woman turned up at him; he gasped. Her ears were pointy. They just stared at each other for the longest time until Brandon was able to speak. "You're…an elf?!" the Elf turned around and ran with such speed that Brandon never seen before, "Wait! Come back!" he ran after her with many other looking after him as he ran.

He must have been running for hours, he seen her run into the woods and followed her in, after running around; he found her by a lake speaking into it.

"No mother," she spoke in a clear wonderful voice. "I haven't yet to find him yet, are you sure he is here?"

"Yes he is, we are sure of this." The voice seemed to come from nowhere, and then he realized, she was using magic to call someone with the water. And did she say mother? Would that mean…

"I don't understand!" she answered back, "Why here? Why in this time?" Brandon listened clearer,

"The rider is in this time, why? I'm not sure." Brandon eyes lit up,

"A rider." He whispered to himself, he was almost screaming in his head, they were real, and he knew who this Elf was then. "Arya?" the Elf span around looking right at Brandon, her eyes wide with shock.

"Reisa!" Brandon knew what that spell meant. Rocks and parts of trees started to fly into the air almost by her, pointed right at him.

"Wait, wait!" he cried putting his hands up, "Don't kill me!" Arya glared at the human in front of her,

"How do you know me?" she hissed at him, making one rock fly right past him. Brandon was now scared stiff,

"It's kind of hard to explained, I read about you…in a book." The Elf seemed confused at what Brandon was talking about, moving closer to him, drawing out a long sword that seemed to curved; she pointed it to his neck with the rocks and trees still in the air.

"What are you talking about boy?" Brandon wanted to tell her that he was no "boy" but he decided not to push his luck with her, he knew what she was capable of doing.

"IF you let me go, I'll show you what I mean," he told her, "The books are in my room." Arya seemed to think about what Brandon was telling her, dropping her sword and the magic she nodded.

"But if your lying," she treated him, "I will kill you!"

Brandon made his way back to his house with Arya close to his side, watching him from the corer of her eye.

"This book," she asked him after a while of silent walking, "What does it tell you?" Brandon began to tell the Elf about what he learnt from the books, how Eragon found Saphira egg, how he saved her from Durzan the Shade; almost everything from the books. Arya seemed shocked that he knew so much,

"This," she said after he told her his knowledge "Is all true! How many more humans know about this?" Brandon rubbed the back of his head,

"Many, but I doubt that the story is real." Arya nodded at him as she turned away from him, "Here we are." Brandon made his way up his stairs and walked in; Arya behind him closed the door. "Hey mom!" he called out, "Is it alright if I let someone see my books?" there was no answer. Brandon made his way upstairs to see a note on the table, reading it over he nodded. "Okay follow me then please." Brandon asked the Elf as she looked around his home. Arya nodded at him only slightly as he made his way to his room. He opened his door and went to the self giving her the three books. "Here," he said handing them to her. Arya opened the book and read the first few pages then closed it, moving on to the next two; she did the same until she looked back at him.

"You're safe." Brandon let out a sigh of relief, "And since you know so much, may I use your mirror?" Brandon looked over at his room to see his large mirror and nodded. Arya nodded back as she went to the mirror, speaking a few words the escaped Brandon. The mirror rippled as a shape of a woman appeared. The woman wore a long robe that seemed to be made from feathers, that when Brandon knew who this was; Queen Islanzadí.

"Arya?" she cried looking though the mirror, "What happened? And where are you?" Brandon knew that she couldn't see his room because she was never there.

"I am fine mother," Arya said calmly, "But I found something very…interesting." The queen seemed puzzled by what she was saying,

"What do you mean daughter?" Arya turned to Brandon and waved him over, the human didn't really want to see the queen in fear that she might be angry or frighten by what he knew about her.

"Come here, there is no fear."

Brandon began to move to where Arya was, as soon as he was close, she moved away so Brandon could only be seen.

"Greet Queen Islanzadi." Brandon spoke bowing slightly to the queen, "It is a great honor to meet you." The queen seemed confused that the human before her knew her name,

"Arya," she asked, her daughter going back to view of the mirror, "How does this human know who I am?" Arya began to speak in the Ancient Language; Brandon couldn't understand what she was saying. There was times when he thought he heard Forsworn.

"Brandon," it was the queen voice this time, "May I see you?" Arya moved again as he took her place, "If indeed you know me, then how did Oromis die, and who killed him?" That was simple for the boy,

"He was killed when he had an attack and lost focus of the battle. Murtagh son of Morzan who killed him while he had his attack, this was also during the time Arya here killed the second Shade." The queen's eyes widen with shock,

"What he says is true mother," Arya answered, "Eragon told me about what happen to Oromis, and what he said was true." The queen seemed to think about something for a long time before speaking.

"Do you think he may be the one?" Arya thought for a moment,

"He may be, but it's hard to know." Brandon looked up at her, at first he didn't understand what they were talking about, until he remembered what Arya job was for the Varden in the first book.

"You got the last egg?" Arya nodded to him,

"Yes, but its back with mother." The queen nodded,

"Arya, bring Brandon here, I'm sure he may be able to help us." Arya nodded once,

"As you wish," then she ended the spell.

"Whoa wait a minute!" said Brandon waving his hands, "Yes I would love to see Alagaesia, but what about my mother?" he crossed his arms, "She might, oh I don't know, figure out I'm missing when I'm not back by nine!" Arya smiled at him,

"Do not worry," she answered in a claim voice, "Once you leave, time here will stop. Only when you come back will it go on again." Brandon cocked his head,

"What do you mean?" she smiled once again as she held his arm, closing her eyes she spoke too fast for Brandon to catch their meaning. A blue light engulf around their bodies, Brandon was terrified at what was happening, he looked like he was on fire; but yet it didn't burn. The light reached his eyes as he shut them tight, waiting for something to happen. Then just as it began, he heard the sound of birds chirping. Opening his eyes he saw that he was in a forest.

"Where," he asked looking around, "Are we?" Arya laughed, she sounded like ringing bells matching her voice,

"Du Weldenvarden!" she answered.
